The Indian Air Force (IAF) has received its first C-295 transport plane, marking a major milestone for the IAF and for India. The aircraft, manufactured by Airbus in Spain, is capable of special missions, disaster response, and maritime patrol duties. The IAF has signed a contract for 56 of these planes, with 16 to be made in Spain and the remaining 40 to be produced in India. The C-295 will enhance the IAF's tactical airlift capability along the border with China and other areas.
