The Union government on Monday pleaded with the Supreme Court to demand an affidavit from National Conference leader Mohammad Akbar Lone, who had "shouted Pakistan zindabad" slogan in Jammu and Kashmir assembly in 2018 in support of secessionist forces. This was followed by the top court seeking an affidavit from Lone within a day's time.
