The Delhi Police's special cell conducted a covert investigation for 45 days before launching raids on NewsClick, a web portal, and arresting its editor-in-chief and human resources head. The investigation involved technical surveillance, financial analysis, and studying the portal's content. The suspects were categorized into three sections, with category A including the arrested duo and at least four more suspects. The raids were planned after a closed-door meeting and final briefing with the police commissioner. Around 400-450 police officers were involved in the operation, dividing into teams based on the suspect's profile.
