The Lok Sabha Ethics Committee has recommended the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra from Lok Sabha due to cash for query allegations. The committee, led by BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar, adopted the report with 6 members supporting it and 4 members dissenting. Moitra had alleged a breach of Parliament rules after media reports cited the findings of the committee, claiming that the media channel involved is majority-owned by the Adani group. The report will now be submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
