SC on Friday ruled that citizens do not possess the right to repatriate the mortal remains of a foreign national to India. This decision came as the court rejected a plea from the Sufi Dargah in Prayagraj to bring back the mortal remains of its spiritual leader, Hazrat Shah. Although Shah was born in India, he acquired Pakistani citizenship in 1992 and passed away in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
